Museum of Flint and Stone (pending)
Located in the Fort complex the Museum of Flint and Stone traces the history of Flint and Stone tool manufacturing. Modern day flint knappers practice time honored techniques to replicate the technology of yesterday. Old and new examples of arrowheads, flint drills, stone axes and the
atl-atl "a spear throwing device for hunting mammoth and large paleo game" are displayed, and the methods of manufacturing are outlined and illustrated. If you have never seen a celt, stone axe, flint drill or atl-atl stop by and learn about the skills of the ancient hunter gatherers.
