June 14th and 15th
8th Annual Pioneer and Primitive Arts Festival

Spend a day learning about Pioneer ways and the Primitive Arts of times gone by. Rob "Armchair" Gerding and associates will be setting up a pioneer camp. Authentic dress and methods will convey "the way it was" on the early frontier. Civil War mock battle and skirmish and cannon demo. Revolutionary War group is also attending this year. Event open to pioneer re-enactors. Try your hand at Atl-atl dart throwing for kids and adults to learn about the methods of the Paleo Hunter. This is a Ohio Atlatl Association listed event with an ISAC contest. OAA members may camp onsite. Flint Knappers to demonstrate the art of arrowhead and knife making. There will be music, entertainers and vendors of pioneer and related wares. The Fort is a unique venue for this type of festival. A big thanks to the many new participants we had in 2013. No admission fee for the general public.
Re-enactors in festival camp free of charge. Participant Appreciation Dinner Saturday evening. Meat provided. Please bring side dish or dessert if you can.

This year Fort Firelands will be hosting their eighth annual car show.
We look forward to it being an awesome event in 2014.
Cruise into this event in your mean machines, the show promises to be a great time for all. Door prizes provided by Fort Firelands, area business and the many shops located in the Fort Complex. Music provided by Crusin Zeake to Rock you, and Roll you "old style".

Rock and Roll Concert

Last year we hosted the first rock band we have had on our stage in many years "Third Degree Band". The show was open to the public and we all had a really good time. We look forward to this years show, having the band back and seeing the new line up of members will be great. I have heard the new sound is awesome.

Rock and Roll - Pop Concert

The band plays a variety of Rock and Pop tunes on both electric and brass instruments. From Tiffin, they are a young, energetic and upcoming group. Come out and see their local appearance, join us in welcoming the band.

Music with Margie Presents:
Singin’ ‘Round the Campfire” Family Show

Making a rare appearance in our area, New England-based Margie Warner “Queen of Camp Songs” will perform her original music for kids of all ages. Targeted to entertain 3- to 10-year olds and their families, she also performs campfire sing-a-longs for adults and teens.
Audiences can expect to laugh and act out story-songs like “Herman the Worm,” “Cole the Stinky Dog,” and “The Fun Family,” to name just a few! This hour-long show will be an interactive, funny and energetic evening for the whole family to enjoy together.

We are happy to welcome Free Beer Band to our stage this year. The band has been playing together for many years and have developed a following for themselves. See you there.

Tentative (more 2014 dates to be set?) - Rock and Roll Bands
Fort Firelands is working on scheduling more events with local rock bands. If you are a local or traveling band that is near the Port Clinton area get in touch with us. Our stage has been graced in the past with such big name bands as: Steppenwolf and Alice Cooper, we think it is great reviving "the Fort's" tradition as a great entertainment venue, so stay tuned for more details.
